THE BIG KAHUNA FUNDRAISER RECAP - 2022
On April 1st, Watauga Habitat began our 8th annual Big Kahuna Campaign! This friendly fundraising competition pits teams against eachother, teams who are competing to raise the most money for Habitat's Affordable Housing Program.
On June 2nd, the Habitat family gathered at Booneshine Brewing Co. to whitness the winning team as they were crowned THE BIG KAHUNA! Congratulations to the High Country HomeBuilders team for winning The Big Kahuna by raising $11,545! A big thank you to all of our teams and Kahuna's for working so hard to raise money for a noble cause, suporting affordable home ownership. All teams and sponsorships together raised $28,050 - all money desperately needed to continue Habitat for Humanity's goal to build homes, communities, and hope. Due to the rising cost of materials, this money will be invauable in allowing us to continue building in Watauga County. Thank you, Kahunas!!
