I moved to Boone in 1987 to attend Appalachian State University, and I've been here ever since. After getting a couple degrees, I worked at Charter Communications producing commercials for about seven years, then began working at ASU doing IT support in 2004. I'm now the Director of IT Support Services, which I really enjoy.
A friend at Habitat thought I'd make a good Kahuna, so here I am, and while this is a little outside my comfort zone, it's for a great cause, and I'm hoping a lot of my friends at the university will help me reach Big Kahuna status.
If you're fortunate enough to have a little money to help out, this really is a great cause with a great group of people at Watauga Habitat for Humanity who work really hard to give back to our community.
