We build and repair homes almost exclusively with volunteer labor.

Whether you’re a skilled craftsperson or you’ve never picked up a hammer, building with Habitat is a life-changing experience both for you and our homeowners. Sponsor a project, bring a group, or come on your own. We can’t do it without you.

Our build days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  If you would like to inquire more regarding build days, please click here.

Before coming out to volunteer, please watch our Job Site Safety Video. This video helps educate you about basic construction safety before you arrive on your scheduled build day. The video covers the most common safety concerns found on our Habitat building sites. We want you to have a safe and productive experience with Watauga Habitat.

Additionally, we are not permitted to allow minors 14 years old and under on the jobsite. We cannot have 15-17 year olds on an active jobsite where we are using any sort of power tool and they cannot be on ladders. 17 and 18 year olds can only use hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers and they cannot work at heights above 6 feet.

Directions to our current project will become available after registering to volunteer.  Click here to register to volunteer.

If swinging a hammer is not part of your skill set, there are a wide variety of ways to support Habitat. We will strive to put your particular skills to use to accomplish our mission.  Please contact us if this interests you.
